The Problem & Challenge
Venues without constant internet connectivity face slow credit card processing. Stored-value RFID cards enable instant 1-second transactions at food and beverage counters.
Engineering Solution & Architecture
Built a React frontend communicating with an Express and PostgreSQL backend. Cashier terminals connect to USB RFID scanners reading card UID tokens to query balance and execute atomic database transactions.
